Elevator Lab

Elevator Lab is an initiative by Raiffeisen Bank International focused on exploring the impact of external ecosystem technology developments on the financial industry. 

Utilizing our years of experience running the Elevator Lab Partnership Program from 2017 until 2022, we adjusted the initiative to be a holistic startup and external ecosystems outreach program, aiming to explore technology trends through three pillars of engagement:

Elevator Lab x startuplive

World Web3 Metaverse Challenge 2024 pre-acceleration program is held in ten countries around the world, giving startups the opportunity to connect with experienced founders, potential collaborators, and funders from all over. We were hosting this year’s finale of the Challenge in Vienna.

ViennaUP 24: AI for Good event

For the opening of the ViennaUP 2024 festival on 3rd of June, Elevator Lab joined forces with Mastercard and Fintech Ladies to organize the “AI for Good: Leveraging AI for Environmental and Social Progress” event. The event brought together startups and industry leaders to discuss the potential of AI technology in achieving sustainability goals and securing equality in societies.

Digital Money and Beyond

On the 9th of April 2024, the “Digital Money and Beyond: Exploring the Landscape of Digital Currencies” event, organized by the Elevator Lab initiative, brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the future of money in the digital age.

Tech & Strategy Brunch

In order to discuss the biggest technology trends of 2023 and expectations for 2024, Elevator Lab organized an interactive inspiration session focused on exploring tech trends in finance. Representatives from external companies like Gartner, La Futura, Plug and Play, and Accenture joined to share their perspectives and inputs.

Finance and Tech: Exploring the Future, a Lead Today Shape Tomorrow side event

Under the umbrella of the Lead Today Shape Tomorrow conference, which aims to connect startups, investors and innovation opinion leaders creating an inclusive future of entrepreneurship, we organized an event focusing on the potential of newest technologies, and their use to power the future of the financial industry.

AI Hackathon- Break Barriers, Enhance Work

Rinno team in Raiffeisen Bank Albania organized an Elevator Lab hackathon where the bank's staff presented innovative ideas and developments for the use and integration of Artificial intelligence and ChatGPT in daily work.

Full Moon 2023

Elevator Lab joined forces with the ViennaUP festival, Wolves Summit, and The Recursive, to organize and event focusing on the importance of financial industry keeping up with technology trends like blockchain and AI, for the purpose of staying relevant, and providing the most value to its customers.

Loyalty Hackathon

Elevator Lab and Blockchain Hub organized a Loyalty Hackathon, where thirteen selected teams from CEE countries worked together an entire weekend in-person in Vienna. The aim was to ideate solutions aimed at improving customer engagement and loyalty, by building banking programs and platforms that reward existing customers for their loyalty and engagement, or help to acquire new customers.

Elevator Lab Partnership Program was organized as a structured startup accelerator and partnership program from 2017 until 2022. The Program included pilot projects with startups and Raiffeisen Bank International subsidiary banks on a variety of topics, such as ESG in Agriculture or Bank as a Platform.
