The start of my professional journey

I began my professional career in 2006 in securities processing at direktanlage.at AG in Salzburg. Over 14 years, I gained in-depth knowledge of various post-trading activities, including the transfer of securities, corporate actions, tax services, and reporting. Later, as a product owner and project manager, I contributed to driving digitalization and automation changes, eventually becoming the head of the securities processing department.

I am very grateful for the incredible people I met there, who taught me a lot and with whom I formed long-lasting friendships. However, after the birth of my first daughter and a parallel stroke of fate in my family, I decided it was time for a fresh start. After enjoying the joys of fatherhood, I joined Bitpanda as a primary expert for processes in asset and custody services, also engaging in project work.

My latest stop

My journey with RSC began in January, and I am already very impressed by the warmth and supportive cooperation I encounter daily. I enjoy the variety in my job and the constant improvement, planning, and implementation of processes and procedures. This requires a deep understanding of daily work steps, making it essential and enjoyable to immerse myself in day-to-day business.

Challenges I see for our team

The industry is in constant flux with ongoing digitalization and automation, the integration of AI, and the need to adhere to existing regulations while planning for new ones, such as the rollout of T+1. The challenge is to manage these changes effectively and efficiently without losing sight of our most important resource – our people, who embody the company with ambition, motivation, and passion. In my opinion, RSC is on the right track in this regard.

Balancing life and work

As a proud father of two wonderful little girls, nothing beats spending as much time as possible with my family. Whether it's a walk in the park, a visit to the playground, or just fooling around at home, these moments are unique and hopefully will be remembered forever. Once the little ones are asleep, I enjoy quality time with my amazing wife, who has my deepest respect for handling our daughters so well and lovingly during her maternity leave. Additionally, I love to cook creatively and at a slower pace in the evenings, savoring the silence.

A glimpse of home

I was born in the city of Salzburg but grew up in the ‘Salzburger Land’ region known for its unique landscape and beautiful lakes. Due to my long-term job and subsequent move back to the city, I now consider Salzburg my hometown. I love its compactness, the old town with its winding streets, and the picturesque sights and surroundings. I feel fortunate to visit Salzburg with my growing family whenever possible.
