While debtor management stays with the client, the default risk is shared between RBI and commercial credit insurance, ensuring greater security.

  • Receivables are generated by normal business conduct between the seller(s) and their customers
  • Services / goods underlying the receivable to be fully delivered in order to be eligible for sale to RBI
  • RBI will purchase such receivables in exchange for their gross nominal amount (minus reserves)
  • Dilution reserve covers any adverse impact (such as annual bonifications) on the receivables’ value
  • Any purchase is subject to a credit limit granted by a commercial credit insurance for each debtor
  • Debtor default risk allocated between commercial credit insurance (90%) and RBI

  • First loss reserve, if any, covers default on portfolio level up to a certain percentage of the portfolio
  • Any purchase is subject to a credit limit granted by a commercial credit insurance for each debtor
  • The commercial credit insurance will cover debtor default risk either pro-rata or as second loss coverage
